| Here I will continue with more lids as I get them or take more pics. To speed up the load time I will put an icon to click with a description next to it of the lid... |
A very nice Sun moon & star zinc lid. I have seen several of these but this
is the best example I have run across and also the liner is intact. A lot of
times you find these the liner's are cracked and they aren't easily readable on
the outside.
This is an early 2 piece closure Ball Dome lid I believe
from the 1940's possibly 1950's.
This lid you will find on "The Ball PAT.APL'D.FOR.
series of jars from the late 1890's. The original lid is tin plated and very
scarce. I do believe this is a repro but it's better then nothing.
This is an early midget lid circa:1880's for the #2373 jar or also the #1836.
Embossed on the top is "Porcelain Lined Cap For Mason Fruit Jars". On
the inside "Ball Bro's Glass M.F.G.Co. Buffalo N.Y"...
This lid is one I haven't seen too often in my time. From the look of it with
the concentric circles I would say it was made in the 1930's for the Ball
Perfect Mason series of canning jars...
This lid is for the #194 jars or possibly the #1784 jars. Most found are aqua
but this one is a nice shade of green. Lucky find for me. Embossed "Ball
Bro's Glass M.F.G. Co. Buffalo N.Y."
This lid would be for a BBGMCo midget #194 or a #1836, #1833-1, maybe a few
other's I would have to do some more research to find out. This one also is like
above but does not have N.Y. on it just the word Buffalo. I have seen another
with the complete embossing so I guess this is just a different variant.
